Meeting the New Academic Year (2000
- 2001) with New Spirit and New Target
On September the 3rd,
the opening ceremony of the new academic year (2000 - 2001) was held
in Huijia's auditorium. All the teachers and students were in high spirit
to strive for making new achievement to meet this new academic year.
In addition to the leading group of Huijia administration, leaders
of Beijing municipality and Changping district attended the ceremony.
They are Mr. Duan Bing-ren, director of the standing committee of the
People's congress of Beijing municipality; Mr. Yuan Xiangdong, director
Changping Education Commission; Mr. Wang Zhize, Chairman of the Board
of Huijia Educational Institution; Mr. Wang Jiajun, principal of Beijing
Huijia College; and Mr. Tao Wei, general coach of Huijia Leapard Football
Club.
Mr. Duan Bong-ren delivered a speech to express full support to Huijia's
development, expecting that Huijia will continue to make great effort
to make contributions to the commom development of public and private
schools.
Then Principal Wang Jiajun made a speech, in which he reviewed the
practice in running the college and successful experience in the past
seven years. He introduced the present favorable situations and great
achievement. He pointed out that this academic year should be a year
of big stride, a year of marching forward toward a new height, and a
year of Huijia's characteristics and big leaps as well. All the teachers
and students should firmly carry out reform on educational system and
the teaching methods. He asked all the teaching staff to make concerted
effort to build Huijia College into a renowned new type, high quality
and international school.
Principal Wang's speech was a great encouragement for all the teachers
and students. They expressed their aspirations and determinations to
work hard in the new academic year. They are sure to follow the instructions
to make greater progress in their work and studies.
At the ceremony quite a lot of students were awarded prizes for their
excellent study results.
The ceremony was closed in the form of reading a solemn pledge by
all the teachers and students.
