1.Basis of curriculums offered
Huijia school aims at "Unique approaches, high quality and inter-national features" and "its goal is to cultivate the students" to be a person worthy of the Chinese".
The primary school department of Huijia school is at the stage of fundamental education, Its mains task is to carry out modernized quality education in the light of the educational policy and goal to lay a solid foundation for bringing up students catering to the needs of the 21st century. For this purpose, it is necessary for the primary school department to break from the conventions and create Huijia's new educational concept and approaches. Therefore, a 5+1 system is implemented. i.e. to complete the 6 year teaching task in five years, and in the six year, the students will be divided into two categories to have English intensive study at home or abroad, and at the same time study the fundamental course of the middle school to prepare to enter middle school

2. Plan for curriculums offered
The basic characteristics of the curriculums offered in the primary school is to reflect a comprehensive quality education, with Chinese, mathematics, foreign language as basic subjects, paying attention to and strengthening the teaching of English, and art education.

Now for Grade I and Grade II of the primary school, in the morning teaching hours the lessons are given by Chinese teachers, and in the afternoon, the lessons are give in English by American teachers.

The English lessons for other grades are given by Chinese and foreign teachers.

Generally the number of students in a class is not more than 30, and the number of students in English class is not more than 15.

The compulsory subjects offered are: Chinese, English, mathematics, Sociology, moral character, nature, physical education, Fine arts, calligraphy, music, piano, computer, ceramic art.

Interest subjects: ceramic art, fine art, calligraphy, paper-cut, piano, computer, to technology, chorus, dance, table tennis, track and field sports, football.

3. Basic goal of the main subjects
Chinese: By means of learning to read as early as possible and extensive reading and writing, to make the students develop the aptitude in listening, speaking, reading and writing after 4-5 year training. The ultimate aim is to complete and outstrip the requirements and task stipulated in the teaching Syllabus of Chinese for primary school.

Mathematics: Special attention will be paid in arousing the students' interest in studying mathematics, with the training of the ability in mathematical thinking as key link through large amount of exercise to attain the aim to develop students' intelligence.

English: For Grade I, II, III of primary school, the lessons of English are giver by foreign teachers, with the emphasis on phenetics and the ability in listening and speaking, In Grade IV. V, the lessons of English are given by Chinese and foreign teachers, with the emphasis on the teaching of sentence patterns and the ability in reading. At the end of five year's teaching of English, the students will be able to master 6000 English words and learn to speak English.

Computer: Computer Lessons are offered from Grad 1 to Grade 6. The aim of computer lessons is to train students for the needs of the 21st century. Computer education starts from arousing the student's interest and gradually improves the skills in its use and master the latest soft ware of computer. The use of computer will become an indispensable part in the school life.

Music: The basic goal of nusic teaching is to cultivate students's ability in artistic appreciation, both vocal and instrumental music are emphasized. In the teaching of vocal music, special attention is paid to the training of students in enunciation, singing performance and skills. The students are expected to pass the 3rd degree test when they are in Grade 5. For the students who have potentials in the development of music, they will be given special attention in music training to lay a foundation for further study. Parts of the students are also given opportunities to learn to play other Chinese and western instruments.

Fine arts: The teaching aim is to train the students in comprehensive skills of fine arts, including painting and handicraft, with emphasis or artistic appreciation and expression.

Calligraphy: Lessons of calligraphy are offered in Grade 3-5. The emphasis is put on the practice of handwriting with pens or pencils. Through calligraphy teaching, the students are trained in correct writing posture, way of holding the pen, and the use of traditional Chinese writing brush.
